Scindapsus treubii "Moonlight" is a variety of plant belonging to the Araceae family, native to the rainforests of South-East Asia, in particular the tropical regions of Indonesia and Malaysia. This plant is known for its beauty and unique, decorative leaves.
The leaves of Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' are oval in shape and have a bright light green color, often with silver or yellowish streaks that give them a bright, shiny appearance, hence the name ' Moonlight '. This Scindapsus variety is particularly prized for its hardiness and ease of growing, making it a popular choice among houseplant enthusiasts and gardening hobbyists.
" Moonlight " is a climbing plant that can grow in both hanging pots and floor pots. Thanks to its climbing nature, it can be trained to grow along vertical supports or left to hang freely, adding a touch of greenery and vibrancy to home or office interiors.
As for care, Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' thrives in environments with indirect or partially shaded light and requires well-drained, light soil. It is important to avoid leaving the soil too waterlogged, as the roots can rot easily. Additionally, the plant benefits from relatively high humidity, so misting the leaves regularly or placing the pot on a tray of damp pebbles may help.
